I want to use Opendns's filtering capabilities with my iPhone's 3g connection. I found a way to manually set the dns. The problem is that there is no way to update my ip address. Every service I find that does this requires a client to be installed on the computer, which obviously isn't possible on an iphone. Is it possible to add for opendns to add an option to use the mac address instead of the ip address, or something like that. Any information or suggestion would be appreciated.

P.S. Please do not tell me to this or that with my router or wifi settings. I need to use it on 3g, not a local network.

Most often, you cannot use OpenDNS with many wireless services because you do not have your "own" IP, but shared with other customers via proxy or NAT.

Otherwise, you need to update manually by visiting your Dashboard or by creating a bookmark/shortcut/link:

https ://username:password@updates.opendns.com/nic/update?hostname=Network_Label

Check with your carrier regarding this.
