Adult site blocking: flickr categorised as 'nudity' - should be 'photo sharing'?

As of today I can no longer browse photo pages on flickr as it has been classified as nudity. This is a preapproved category and cannot be voted on. I have whitelisted the domain but surely this categorisation is wrong? -

Youtube has been categorized as having an adult theme. Hmmm, some nut case must be running around. -
flickr should be photo sharing. It's also the photo sharing service used by AT&T Yahoo users since Yahoo Photos was dropped. Categorizing it as adult is too harsh.

There is occasional nudity there.Thankful People: Mark, westmillfoods, Luiz Fellipe Carneiro -
Great you are now blocking Flickr and YouTube. I thought I had found a great way to block porn sites now I guess I'm back to ground zero since your going to start acting crazy like this.

@shuff1203
Did you know you can whitelist domains that you don't want to block in your dashboard? Under the Settings tab, there is a Whitelist link in the Filtering section. Put any domains you don't want to be blocked there. -

Administrator# shuff1203 - You can always whitelist any domains you do not wish to have blocked in your account. Remember, adult themes do not always mean they are pornographic.Thankful People: westmillfoods -

My browser is loading both YouTube and flicker even though I have nudity and adult themes blocked. They are not on my whitelist. If they are being blocked under adult themes, why are they loading for me? -
@eremita
Have you cleared your local resolver cache? They may still be stored on your system.
To clear the local resolver cache, at the command prompt type /ipconfig /flushdns. -

I don't think I had ever been to flickr before so don't think it was in my cache but I did as you suggested and they are still loading. Blocking is working though because I tried to get to honeymoons.about.com (or similar) and was blocked as adult themes. This is strange. -
@chrisbrightman & anyone else who shares his viewpoint.
You may like the Idea I suggested, which is in response to my concern about overly categorized sites. It would definately help in this situation, where you have Photo Sharing enabled but Nudity blocked. If a site falls under a category that is NOT blocked, then it is allowed even if it belongs to another category that IS blocked. This would be an option you could turn on or off.

Vote if that sounds like a good idea to you.

Flickr should not be categorized as nudity. If "nudity sometimes occurs there", then Wikipedia (or any encyclopedia), google, and National Geographic, among many others, should also be categorized as nudity. The primary purpose of Flickr is for photo sharing (and blogs at blogs.flickr.com). Flickr has a built-in filter to limit adult content for the viewers. Again, Flickr should *not* be blocked by being categorized as nudity.
In addition, I tried to whitelist Flickr, but I still can't access it because I am blocking adult sites.
Something needs to be done about this and similar problems. -
After whitelisting, I realize that I need to clear my cache. After clearing the cache, I was able to access Flickr.
However, I'm still not happy about the nudity and adult tags. -
yeah, i just whitelisted it... most peeps here probably use it for non-adult purposes.
