Is it possible to block out GMAIL without blocking the entire domain "Google.com"?
I have tried adding https://mail.google.com but I get directed to
https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin and the url keeps going on. -
Looks like no can do. Oh well.

I think you can do it.
Dashboard > Settings > Block Individual Domains > add:
mail.google.com
Give it about 10 minutes to take effect, then flush your DNS cache as you will still have old entries in there. From a Command Prompt, type: ipconfig /flushdns (space before slash).
Try it again. You should get OpenDNS block page for mail subdomain. All others should be OK. Good luck.
