This guide will provide all the information you need to use openDNS with Netgear Sky Routers, without re-flashing the router.

Has anyone been able to do this within the last few months? I recently switched to Sky and have been generally very pleased with their service, but without being able to use Open DNS with the service I am seriously considering switching away again. All the guides on how to set it up with exporting configs and using telnet are all useless since sky have upgraded the firmware. So any ideas would be sooo helpful!
TIA -
You could just define the DNSs in Windows instead.

Go to:

and enable telnet. After that telnet to your router and type these commands:
* nvram set wan_dns1=208.67.222.222
* nvram set wan_dns2=208.67.220.220
* nvram set wan_fix_dns=1
Now reboot :)
**This only works with the older white Netgear routersThankful People: Martin
