The message "You tried to visit what.ever, which is not loading" is inappropriate and misleading.
The problem is not that it's not loading.
OpenDNS has absolutely no way of telling whether or a not a site is loading and it's misleading to claim it can tell.
What's happened is that what.ever isn't listed in the DNS servers.
The message should say something like: You tried to visit what.ever which doesn't seem to exist.Thankful People: rotblitz -
A non-techy would find "is not loading" more helpful than "does not exist", in my opinion.
And "does not exist" is even more misleading, as there could be a temporary DNS issue, in which case the site DOES exist, but really is not loading.
It's better to just stick with "is not loading". -

But "is not loading" implies that its just a temporary fault which is actually pretty unlikely.
Even "can't be found" would be better.Thankful People: tveloso -
Like the original poster noted, how do they know it is not loading? I get a lot of hangs and no message. The message needs to be expanded a little and more explanatory.Thankful People: Jonathan Yaniv, jodrre

and what *I'd* like to see is a little linky that says something to the effect "Try again" so I don't have to clear out the cache or anything. Whenever I get a message like the OP, if I try to go to the site again it QUICKLY resolves to "not loading" as though it's not trying. I'd like to be told that I'm wrong. admin?Thankful People: tveloso, freeling10 -
How about "Not resolving to a valid web address at this time". ;)

war59312, The "Not resolving to a valid web address at this time" would literally have non tech people banging their head on the keyboard. I think something along the lines of 'This page cannot be found." would work best for non techies and techies. Since it's plain english.
