Administrative: Is it is necessary to change my dsl router's dns,to increase the speed??

Hi friends,i only change my computer's dns,not my DSL router's...The speed is'nt increased...is it necessary to change the dns of my DSL router modem..??

DNS does not affect the speed of your Internet connections in any way. -
You get the speed you purchased from your ISP. Nobody else in the world can increase it.
Where did you get the information from that DNS would have influence on speed? -
I think by using a stable DNS,can improve the speed also...

"Stable" DNS? It will increase the speed of your DNS lookup for the few milliseconds that takes. It doesn't matter where you configure DNS addresses as long as the devices are using the DNS servers you chose.
