Domain Name System (DNS) troubles: Some workstations in the network can still access blocked sites

    How come some of our network's workstation can still access blocked sites specified in the OpenDNS setup, while others already can't...

    What do I need to check on both the workstation level and OpenDNS level, to ensure that all workstations in the network can no longer be able to access blocked sites specified in OpenDNS.

    Did you flush both, the local resolver caches and the browser caches?

    Visit http://welcome.opendns.com/ on these workstations.
    If it says you're using OpenDNS, check more detailed with the command:
    (Trailing dot is part of the command!)
    nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com.
    Also, execute "ipconfig /all" to see the DNS settings on these computers.

    As most of your workstations seem to function with OpenDNS, nothing is to be checked at OpenDNS level. It must be something specific to those workstations or your network where it does not work. Ah wait, you want to check that the right IP address is registered at https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/ - the right IP address is the one you see from the nslookup "source" output above.
