Hi,
I've just enabled OpenDNS and I'm having a bit of trouble with Firefox (v11 for Ubuntu) - though Chromium and Opera are working fine.
Whenever I open a new tab (or restart Firefox with existing tabs), I have to clear two error pop ups before I can access the page. The first pop up contains this text:
<html><head><script type="text/javascript">location.replace("http://block.a.id.opendns.com/?url=789068808681807984156880781688706784708387746870841683708586837936808681807984326980786674793077748585786679156880158676&ablock&nref");</script></head></html>
and the second pop up is titled:
[JavaScript Application]
and contains only the word "forbidden"
I should add that Java is not enabled in Firefox due to a security weakness from a couple of months ago. I should also mention that I'm running the AdblockerPlus and Flashblock addons.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
David -
Update:
Disabling Adblock Plus and Flashblock haven't helped. -
Ok. It's solved.
I started disabling other Firefox add-ons and, after dumping "InvisibleHand 3.6.8", "MyCouponsAddOn 3.2" and "RoxioNow Player Plugin" the problem disappeared. I don't know which of the three was causing the trouble, but, since I don't really use any of them, they're all gone.
The moral of the story? Don't let your Firefox become bloated over time. -
I may know what caused your trouble. If you visit the first JavaScript link:

Also, Javascript is in no way related to Java. Two completely different animals.
