DNS-O-Matic / dynamic IPs: 2wire 2701 limited connection after IP address update

I had a virus and went through a whole series of scans and stuff with the help of bleeping computers. System works great with the exception of 1 thing. Occasionally at startup I get a limited wireless connection issue (opendns updater also does not list the IP address). If I right click on the wireless task bar icon and hit repair it does its thing and life is good for a while. That is until the next time they update the IP address (at least that is what seems to be happening). I removed and reinstalled this program and it seems to be what is causing the issue. What could be happening? and how do I fix it?

Just by chance, you're running Windows 7 with NCSI enabled?
See here: http://blog.superuser.com/2011/05/16/windows-7-network-awareness/
You may want to disable this.

What program? -
I am running on Win Xp Pro SP3.
I uninstalled/reinsatlled the opendns updater and still have the issue. -
Why do you think your problem is related to the OpenDNS Updater? This is not supposed to interfere in any way with your network settings.
