Is it possible to disable the guide page?
I would prefer to be able to choose and use my own search engine. Is this a feature available in the paid-for 'parental' service?

If your problem is with search only, and you don't mind seeing the Guide when domains do not resolve, this is a browser issue, and sometimes an ISP issue:

But yes, with a paid version of OpenDNS you can have filtering while having the OpenDNS Proxy and Typo Correction turned off.
Or simply search by using the method your browser is set up for - i.e., use the search box, or click on the drop-down from the address bar for search when entering something that is not a domain name or full URL.
