I've used PLDT for a long time (1 year) and i know that they are very unstable and their support is garbage. But the only problem is that in the Philippines, I dont have much choice. And only PLDT is avaiable in my apartment.

Their DNS is a bunch of garbage, upload speed get to 1kbps every time I use some connection involved with P2P. And speed is slow like hell.

Recently, they made some thing out of their mind: Block their ISP user's from using OPENDNS, which i've used for more than 2 years.

I googled a lot and I found out im not the only one having this problem but there are other people that having the same problem:
    http://www.alleba.com/blog/2008/05/30/opendns-running-out-of-answers/
    http://www.alleba.com/blog/2008/04/09/googlecom-blocked-by-opendns/

    Mine:

So... WTF with this problem? Why should they keep on showing their fuckface with their fucklogo to their customers?

Since the only "Good" isp that support landlines in the philippines is PLDT, i dont have any choice.

I'm just a student from another country, but it seam that technologies are not welcome in the Philippines because of some company like PLDT.

Hope if you are in a good place of OpenDns, please read this and change your policy, because some people are using it to violate their customer privacy.

Or if you are not someone in OpenDNS, or you are a Filipino, just remember that dont fck with PLDT and dont fck with MyDSL unless you want a T1 cable.

    Thank you and best regard

Looks like PLDT is using OpenDNS as its DNS provider and has blocks on most of the categories. This is why you you cannot reach many sites. This has nothing to do with OpenDNS. They are just providing the service. Your complaint should be made to PLDT and ask them what the f**k are they are doing??!!

Maybe OpenDNS can find the account of PLDT and close it? I personally don't think PLDT has the right to use OpenDNS in this manner.

I also dont think they have their right to do this...

Actually i asked them to verify this twice, but never got respond.

I think they have their subnet that included my IP in their account, which block everyIP... Their DNS servers are their IP. And if people switch to OpenDNS, that account will work as a blocker... I can't get my account to override this setting.

I hope someone from OpenDNS really read this topic and understand for my hardness of my days without OpenDNS, no cache check, notthing...

That's what i like from OpenDNS, their cache are super fast....

I think you should open a Support Ticket explaining your situation and inform OpenDNS about this. I'm sure they will be interested and probably do something about it. Just click "Contact" in the Support area at the bottom of this page.
    Good luck.

"This is something you will need to address with the network administrator for the networks. You can reach them through the contact form at http://block.opendns.com

We do not have any say in how someone managers their networks. "

I wrote already but this is the respond...
