once it is submitted?
I'm finding that with Google Image Search (safe search off) you can put in some sketchy terms and find plenty of porn sites not blocked by OpenDNS.
Is it strictly a community thing? or are there any paid people checking and categorizing domains? -

As long as it takes for people to vote on it and a mod to approve it once it has enough votes. Strictly community, although some OpenDNS employees are members of that community.

Is there any way the process could be sped up for porn sites? Many of us depend on OpenDNS to filter porn in situations where it's simply not possible to use other solutions because we have many machines and many other web-enabled devices on our network. Frequently I find an unblocked porn site someone on my network has been using, so I add it to Domain Tagging and to my block list. Then I check it months later, and it's still open for voting and not blocked by category. Why does it take so long? I could understand days or weeks, but months? There has to be a way to get it done faster. -

This isn't difficult. Really. -
Unfortunately there is a queue of over 20000 sites to check in the Pornography category alone so it will take some time for the moderators to work through. There is also the issue of priorities, there are over 10000 sites to be checked for malware and over 150000 sites to be moderated in total so it is always an uphill battle.Thankful People: rotblitz

Is it really necessary for "maintenance" to treat people the way they do in this forum??? Every time I read a valid question from a user, there is a nasty, negative, and disrespectful answer from the people who are supposed to help. Disgusting treatment!!! Will not use again. -
Some people make it very difficult to treat them with respect, by e.g. showing that they obviously didn't read the answer one has created with investing time and often with other research efforts. *This* is disrespectful, not the reaction of a frustrated helper.Thankful People: zehel2012

As far I know google image search make thumbs the pictures and serve them, so there is no way (?) to block the nasty images from google.

Sorry. When an answer or solution is given and no interest is taken in the answers given, and important bits completely bypassed as if they were never there, one can only do something meant to inspire attention in a last ditch effort to help someone, or just dismiss any further effort.
Of course, rotblitz is completely evil, too, so don't mind his post at all. Ignore us. Just like the few others we find, occasionally, to be resistant to assistance. I know some of us spend an inordinate amount of time here, trolling people with problem solving or direction-pointing.
I can split at any time at the asking, no problem. There are better tech support artists than me here. Don't bother to elaborate and levy some sort of argument or lob an assertion if you haven't got one.
Disclaimer: I admit there is some sarcasm in there, so anyone may freely condemn me for that.
Cheers. -

There is. Just use the search function here. This was built for you. -
That is why I became a moderator.
