Zoom support is really low and no 800 # to call,i can get in my router settings and not able to figure out how to add open dns #s to the correct field.
Please help -
As I suspected and according to your manual (http://www.zoomtel.com/documentation/cable/5350_UserManual_Eng.pdf) you can't change the DNS settings.Thankful People: birkita

Thanks for your answers,had nothing but trouble with this modem,
slow speed ,constantly loss WiFi, TV freezes,low signal range in second floor my house, whats the best doc-sis 3 modem /router you suggest that I can change DNS and avoid these issues. -
There is probably no "best DOCSIS 3" device. Your current device is likely ISP provided, right? These devices are known to be trimmed down with their firmware to support special ISP features and to minimize the ISP's support efforts.
That said, most non-ISP provided (i.e. original manufacturer) devices normally do not have such limitations. You may look after those, study their specs and manuals online to find what's most convenient for you.
You may also want to read e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DOCSIS to become more familiar with this technology.
