All the computers that join my network at home get sent to google.de (the german Google site). I haven't been able to get off the domain and because computers that previously were not on google.de before getting on my network no get pointed to google.de - I have to imagine it has to do with DNS.
Thank you! -
Nothing to do with DNS.
Google determine the geo-location by two factors: mainly the IP address and occasionally the selected language in the browser. It could well be that your IP address range has been newly reassigned from a German to a (wherever you are located) provider, but Google still "thinks" it comes from Germany.

What does http://www.infosniper.net/ say? It should locate you on a Google Map.Thankful People: mrclark411

Or try http://www.maxmind.com/app/mylocation
They have really the most accurate DB I know.Thankful People: mrclark411, M Frank -

Infosniper says I'm in "n/a, United States" (somewhere over Kansas...)
MaxMind had me spot on. Correct city, zip, everything. -
...but Google "thinks" you are in Germany.

You may try out Google support... -

Google thinks I am 5,000+ km from where I live. MaxMind is allot closer, but wrong: City, zip, & Latitude/Longitude for me and for my CO. But atleast they hit the right county, area code, ISP, & domain. That equals the best hit I have gotten for this simple residental connect.
