I'm using OpenDNS at work. I successfully blocked hotmail.com but can't block www.hotmail.com. Any ideas? -
No need to. Blocking hotmail.com blocks all of it's subdomains too.
-
still, the problem remains, I've blocked all webmail but Hotmail is still accessable. I don't know but the hotmail servers are using too many different domain names to block, For instance : by116w.bay116.mail.live.com
keeps coming up with the client pc's while hotmail it self does not.
More off the domainnames used:
ad.yieldmanager Sorry but this 1 is not really hotmail itself but it's the advert server
live
login.live
msn.co
msnportal.112.2o7
msn
nl.msn
p.live
rad.live
rad.msn
Anybody ideas ????

-
I think if you have these 2 entries in your Domains Block List it will take care of the hotmail issue, MSN is really not involved:
hotmail.com
live.com -
Ok thanks all for commenting, but I myself made a booboo.....
I had forgotten to remove the OLD dns server from the lan client
