While you could use translate.google.com as a proxy/anonymizer, its primary purpose is language translation.
There should be a category for online tools.
docs.google.com is in a similar situation. You could call it file sharing but its primary purpose is for people to collaborate on creating a document.
sketchup.google.com is another one. It is used to create 3D models. There is not a good category for it either. -

not sure if more categories is the answer.. seeing as how badly some people categorize using the existing 1.. docs.google.com, Sketchup.google.com seem good as uncategorized.. -

Renes - have you actually been able to successfully use translate.google.com as a proxy/anonymizer, or did you just hear that you could. Did you know that you can no longer use that site as a proxy? Did you know that that functionality was blocked by Google several months ago?
I suppose we have szekowski to blame for that one and all those who voted for it. -

I think most people agree that Translate.google.com is not a proxy/Anonymizer including Renes.. he was just mentioning the 1 that was approved..
Research/Reference seems to be the best category of the 1's available.
there are some people adding weird tags out there.. like Webmail for Translate.google.com? Come on people.. at least that 1 hasn't been approved.. -
