Hi
I have a Netgear DG834G Wireless Router.
I currently update my Dynamic IP using the DNS Update client which runs on my Mac, however im away at University now.
I need a way to ensure that the Dynamic IP/filtering is still going to be up to date, when im away.
Reasoning being my Mum has Lodgers that using the Internet Access.
I have noticed under the Routers Configuration that its possible to setup a Dynamic DNS Service. It only has the option to select www.DynDNS.org
Setup requires the following:-
Host Name:
User Name:
Password:
Thank you in advance

So register a (free) DDNS subdomain at DynDNS.org.
Then setup your OpenDNS service (not DynDNS!) at http://www.dnsomatic.com/
Then setup your DynDNS.org and DNS-O-Matic service at http://dnsalloc.appspot.com/
How's this supposed to work?
1. Your router updates your DynDNS.org subdomain.
2. DNSallocator gets the new IP address from your DynDNS.org host and updates DNS-O-Matic.
3. DNS-O-Matic then updates your OpenDNS network (and possibly more DDNS services).
Would this work for you as well? -
