Wishlists and feature requests: slide show of screenshots for domain tagging
Bottom of Page1 to 10 of 10

A slide show of screenshots for domain tagging would make voting a lot easier and faster.
see my post on http://forums.opendns.com/comments.php?DiscussionID=4020&page=1#Item_1 -
And why this duplicate?
Also, this is what the idea bank is for.

While writing my first post it turned from description of a problem into an idea for a possible solution. That's how the human mind works.
After admitting that post I thought it would fit better in the category Wishlist than in Domain blocking. Because this forum doesn't allow moving messages around, I simply put a link here. A link, not a full duplicate.
I don't understand the difference between wishlist and idea bank. Anyhow I did follow your advice and posted it in the idea bank as well. -
How does the idea bank work?
I submitted 2 ideas about a month ago, and haven't seen anything done about it. Just wondering what the process is. -

Ideas are just that Ideas.they give them a list of things to go over that somebody might think are useful, but some cases are not something logical for a DNS provider or feasible.. they are just like wishes when blowing out candles on a birthday cake.. not always granted.. a place for people to vote if they like a wish and to give feedback via the comments.. -

You'd also have to have enough people to actually find that idea, and vote for it.
You can try to talk it up in your thread, but it seems that not many people frequent the forum to browse, but only stop in when they want something. Same goes for tagging and the idea bank - not a heck of a lot of voters relative to the number of users (I'd hazard a guess and say probably not even as many as the number of submitters). -
so if you add an idea, it won't necessarily show up in 'fresh ideas'?
-
I would expect them showing up in "Fresh Ideas", but who knows...
It depends on whether it is a (working) automatic process or a manual human decision.
Edit: And to be honest, I never became aware of this tab, just now, as you mention it.

No, my idea from 20 hours ago does not show up yet in Fresh ideas, so if you want to move it there, you can search for "slide" and vote for it.
IMHO a crazy system. Nobody knows how many excellent ideas have ended up in the bitbucket simply because they do not contain keywords that other people search for. -
yeah, the system needs some kind of modification so that fresh ideas are updated all the time.
I added my ideas about a month ago, and they haven't show up under 'fresh ideas' either.
maybe similar to the 'domain tagging' system, random ideas are brought up, and people can vote on them. being able to vote down would be great too, because we could get rid of not so popular ideas very quickly.
