I have a Dynamic IP , connecting to ADSL router ,
and I'm applying the OpenDNS sittings as a user ( only my pc )

It recognizes the IP while it was beside the clock ,
but after choosing "run as a service " & restarting the router it suppose to auto update the IP after 5 mins.
but It doesn't get updated !! , & I'm working on the default OpenDNS sittings ( not mine in the profile ) .

    what's wrong :) ?

& thanks for that amazing features you're providing through the site .

    regards ,
    192168161 :)

Open another interactive instance of the Updater, right-click the systray icon and select IP updates to see if and what errors are reported.
Also, what Windows version are you running?

Open the Services console, and ensure that the updater service is set to automatic. If you highlight this service, and see that it has a Start link in the left hand column, it is not started.

To set it to automatic, if for some reason it is not, right-click the entry, select Properties, and set startup type to automatic on the General tab. While there, check the Recovery tab, and select Restart the Service for failure events. Then check the Dependencies tab to see that any services the Updater service might depend upon are also running.

    Explore C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\OpenDNS Updater
to look into the files there with e.g. notepad, to see if you detect something.
Also, under what credentials is the service running? If under SYSTEM, try it with an Admin account if it works then, or the other way around.
Beside this, I don't have any idea. The program author is occasionally around here and may have more advices.
