Administrative: OSX adium doesn't work with openDNS

    I'm running leopard and verified today that when I turn off OpenDNS my adium begins working again. What is it about Adium that OpenDNS doesn't like? I've allowed all chat, which I didn't want to do but still doesn't help.

    I use Adium just fine. Which version of Adium are you using and what service(s) are you trying to connect to?

    If you have a lot of stuff blocked, you may be blocking something adium needs.

    What are the symptoms? Error messages/logs? Is it like the adium/leopard/msn problem? Checked the adium site for your symptoms?

    You might also want to look on your stats page in your OpenDNS account, see if anything has been blocked which looks instant-messagey.

    I'm using pidgin ( Adium is basically the Mac version of pidgin ) with OpenDNS without problems.
