Hey,
Chicago is routed to NYC again and nothing noted on the OpenDNS System Status. This results in a very slow youtube for me. Any updates from the support? -

The speed of YouTube has nothing to do with your DNS being routed from Chicago to NYC. At most it can slow the time a video starts playing by a few milliseconds, but once your browser has found out the IP address of a domain, the speed of downloading any file has nothing to do with DNS. -
@Red Prince: I know, it is strange, it should be exactly like you pointed out but it isn't. If I switch to local CC servers, flush cache on everything youtube is back to normal. Weird

It may be that you are being served by a YouTube server closer to NYC than CHI, far enough away that routing or latency is an issue, or over different networks where routing or latency is an issue. Whatever, I've seen a lot of zany things exposed due to not using ISP resolvers. (And occasional OpenDNS-specific strangeness as well.)
Strangely, I'm routed to CHI when I could just as sensibly be routed to NYC or ASH (WDC). Makes me wonder why your ISP sends you to NYC. Something strange is afoot at the Chicago Exchange.
Good luck with latency issue. -
Thanks, I'm routed to CHI again.
