    Hi,

For a while, on 2 different PCs with 3 browsers, i coudn't access to my dropbox account online while using OpenDNS: Get a "wrong certificate" (opendns
    Filter : none & phisyng.
Regained access as soon as i reversed the DNS to the one of my ISP on one of the computers.
Stranger: Regained access to dropbox on the other computer (still with OpenDNS) on which I changed nothing neither rebooted nore even closed the browsers !?

    See this previous post :
    Dropbox Incorrectly Blocked?

    Thanks rotblitz
Now this article gives no real clue on how to get access to the online service in case of "invalid/failing HTTPS domain".
In this case (dropbox), it appears that OpenDNS has now been updated, and @Dropbox is now at http://www.dropbox.com! Which is verified in this location. So isn't the Support #153 entry missleading us, only talking on "something in the original site is misconfigured to point to an invalid domain"?

EDIT: It looks like dropbox have acquired dropbox.com (previously they were on getdropbox.com)

You are confusing me. First you reported error "Get a "wrong certificate" (opendns)", now you report "invalid/failing HTTPS domain". These errors are totally unrelated to each other, and the KB article really covers only the first one. "invalid/failing HTTPS domain" indicates a server problem and is to DNS related in no way.

Well i just quoted the article #153:
"Normally, when a domain is invalid or failing while using OpenDNS, you will see the OpenDNS Guide page (http://guide.opendns.com/). Sometimes, the domain that is invalid/failing is an HTTPS (secure) site."
As for "Wrong certificate" it is the message i got on my browsers.

Now (see EDIT in previous post) most probably the issue was caused by the move from 'getdropbox.com' to 'dropbox.com' yesterday, precisely at the moment i tried to connect to it. i.e. i guess it was done *just* when i reversed to my ISP DNS! thereafter missleaded me for a moment.

PS Pliz note that English is not my primary language and i may be unclear even i try to do my best ;)

    "i may be unclear".
Don't worry, my native language isn't English either, and I do not have problems understanding you. It was just as the statements seemed to be in conflict.

"most probably the issue was caused by the move from 'getdropbox.com' to 'dropbox.com' yesterday"
Yes, this makes sense. So this was really dropbox server related, as I expected, and your problem seems to be solved. Glad to hear.

"Well i just quoted the article #153:"
Yeah, this is a pretty tight explanation of two facts, "normally" and "sometimes" within two sentences, where the "sometimes" is intended to be the real explanation. Some KB articles could really be more elaborated and descriptive...
And - in addition - this article didn't apply at all, as this was not the problem introduced by OpenDNS blocking SSL sites, but by the attempt to use a certificate granted to getdropbox appearing on the dropbox site.

Thank you very much for your help on this "issue" rotblitz, I appreciated :-)
Yes article #153 isn't precise enough --but it is a real a challenge to write perfect FAQ articles!
And BTW it was my mistake not to write my quote's source :-|
