I initially selected a few pre-configured categories to block, but over time have added some sites to either "always block" (blacklist), or "never block" (whitelist), as required.

Recently, I noticed that on the content filtering page, at the bottom, the list of "never block" sites is displayed - but although I know that I have definitely added some domains to "always block", there is no list of (my own added) blacklisted sites.

Is this "by design"? Or does anyone else have this situation, if it should actually be showing them? Otherwise, is there any other way to view my (customised/personally added) blacklisted sites?

    Thanks,

These "always block" and "never block" lists are only YOUR individually whitelisted/blacklisted domains. They do not contain anything else beside what you explicitly added to it. Don't mix this up with category filtering, it is nothing to do with these lists. What makes you think that there is a problem? How did you originally add domains to these lists?
Also, note that there is a limitation on the number of domains for these lists. Do you have more than one network under your account?

As mentioned, I started with selecting some particular categories (which, as my selection didn't exactly match any of the pre-set filtering levels made my filtering "Custom"), and then when the kids wanted access to certain websites blocked by those selected categories, and I was happy for them to access them, I explicitly added individual sites as "never block". I can currently see I have 13 such sites - and recall personally adding them all (e.g. recognise each one on the list).

However, when I wanted to block access to a particular website that was "normally" permitted (e.g. I wanted to block "myspace.com", as I wasn't blocking the whole "social networking" category) I added that as an "always block". I thought that I then saw that listed as "always block" at one stage (although maybe not - it was sometime ago) when looking at my configuration. However, I recently went to temporarily block another website that was normally accessible ("youtube.com"), and that's when I realised that after adding this site as "always block", I wasn't being shown a list of *my* explicitly blocked sites. I know that the original myspace.com block was still working, as the kids were still complaining ;-) And YouTube was also being blocked, as I wanted. But I wasn't being shown a list of my "always blocked" sites in my config - although I could still see a list of my "never block" sites o.k.....

In answer to your other questions, I add explicit domains under "manage individual domains", typing the domain name in, and selecting either "always block" or "never block", and clicking on the "Add Domain" button. I only have one network/IP Address on my account (and it is, and always has been since I started using OpenDNS, a static IP)....

    Thanks,

I did not face any problems in this regards, beside that when I added a domain from the Top Domains stats, it could be landing in the wrong network (I have five of them). If I added or removed them the way you did, I never faced a problem with the domains being and staying there, where I wanted them to be. So if this is different for you, I would assume this is a special problem with your account, and you should raise a ticket, because the forum community has no way in helping you with this.

Btw, this could also be a problem with your browser, rendering the page not accurately. Issues of that sort have been occasionally reported here too.
