Will OpenDNS allow a user to limit the hours (actual time, and total time) any of its users are accessing the internet? I currently use a software program on each computer to do that but frequently have laptop users who join the network that I would also like to limit.

    Thanks.

OpenDNS is a recursive DNS service, i.e. for name resolution, so nothing to do with connectivity at all. That simple task would be something for your router. Many routers support time based/scheduled access to the internet.

No, OpenDNS offers filtering by domain, nothing more or less.

Many routers allow the type of time based access restrictions you desire. Certain Netgear routers support this feature in conjunction with LPC, an OpenDNS-enabled control scheme, as well. http://powershift.netgear.com/lpc See FAQ for supported routers.
