    There are so many different sites that is a backlog on tagging the pornographic ones.

    Tumblr is a social networking site. They happen to have policies that allow nudity and the such. Other social sites like facebook and google+ have more strict policies against nudity. Their is no technology that can accurately detect or differentiate nudity or graphic material, mainly because it's subjective. (what's porn to one person isn't porn to another)

    But the main reason, to answer your question is that it's a social networking site first. While there are many posts containing nudity, not al their users post that in fact I read somewhere that less than 10% of Tumblr users post that type of content So if you want to block it, I agree with previous posts, in that you'll just have to manually block it in your opendns settings.
