I want to be able to block FaceTime. But when I tick every category, and there by blocking everything, it seems that FaceTime can still be accessed.

Does this Face Time live somewhere, i.e., has a domain name? That is what you want to block. Add it to your Always Block list if it isn't in a category.

You can check if the domain is already categorized, and if not, add it yourself:

Don't forget you must always flush local resolver and browser caches after changing filtering settings, or it will look like filtering isn't working to you.

    Is it this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FaceTime
It doesn't look as if this is related to domains, so no, you can't block it with a DNS service like OpenDNS.

    Apple Facetime?

Try blocking ess.apple.com and push.apple.com. Or apple.com in general (if you don't mind other Apple stuff being blocked) on your network: https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/

Afterward, flush your caches and restart your computer: http://www.opendns.com/support/article/67
