We have iheart.com set to never block and that piece works. However when we select a station to steam it fails stating iheart is having issues. When we bypass OpenDNS the problem immediately stops. I would imagine what is happening is there is another domain being caught by the system however after days of searching I still cannot find anything else to whitelist. Any ideas?

Where have you searched? In your Stats? That would be the best place. The domain(s) very well could be CDN domains with no obvious name associating them with iHeart.

Since the site boo-hoos about every browser and/or version I have installed except IE, which is useless here, I can't check using a browser tool.

Although you almost certainly need googleapis.com.

    edit: Possibly iheartradio.com
Also, when whitelisting iheart, you added exactly
    iheart.com
yes? Without any subdomain like www?

If nothing else presents itself, you can always try clearchannel.com.

Whats odd is our system is blocking this however it doesn't show anything to be blocked. Our blocked domain list can start blank for the day and after an hour of attempting to connect it still shows an empty block list.

We have it white listed as "iheart.com"

Just tried an admin code that unblocks everything all together but no dice. However if I manually set my DNS to bypass OpenDNS is works.

According to your symptoms this problem is hardly related to the OpenDNS blocking feature, so you can whitelist whatever you want, it won't change anything. You can safely remove your whitelist entries.

Your problem is rather CDN related, because this site heavily uses CDN services of Akamai. In case you are located rather distant from the OpenDNS location you are using, you get wrong IP address information returned routing you to a far more distant Iheart/Akamai server location. This is Akamai's, your ISP's and peering network carriers' responsibility, not OpenDNS'.

What OpenDNS location do you use? (nslookup -type=txt which.opendns.com.)
    Where is your general location?
What IP addresses do OpenDNS return for www.iheart.com and www.iheartradio.com?
    (Perform a traceroute to these.)

What IP addresses does your ISP return for www.iheart.com and www.iheartradio.com?
    (Perform a traceroute to these.)

how is this different from the above?

Oops, you are landing at hit-bpb.opendns.com when tracerouting to www.iheartradio.com. Not sure what this catcher should be for. One thing you still can try is to whitelist just iheartradio.com.

Beside this, your routing and latency are not optimal, but acceptable.

"how is this different from the above?"

You shouldn't have tracerouted to domain names, but to IP addresses, to the ones returned by OpenDNS on one hand, and to the ones returned by your ISP on the other hand. I expected them to be different, therefore routing you to different locations and explaining why you have these problems.

However, what I see now is that we users won't be able to help. Better open a support ticket, and reference this thread there.
