    Hi,

    I used DNS-o-Matic with ddclient (on Linux) to update my dynamic IP. I had set it so that I received an e-mail when the IP was updated successfully. Now I update directly towards opendns.com and can not find out whether it is possible to receive an e-mail confirmation or at least see an update log for my network. My ddclient.conf looks like this:

    use=web, web=myip.dnsomatic.com
    ssl=yes
    server=updates.opendns.com
    protocol=dyndns2
    login=mylogin
    password='mypassword'
    MyNetworkName

    Updating works fine.

    Also, why is ddclient.conf still having a setting containing dnsomatic (use=web, web=myip.dnsomatic.com)?

    Because that is where it determines your IP address. It could use any service ddclient "understands".
