    My parents set up a parental block on our Netgear router, and then they forgot their username and password to get onto it to disable the block. I can't access sites like, and can't access the XBL marketplace on my Xbox because of this block. I tried the factory reset for it, but it's still on there. Can someone please help me?

    I recommend that your parents open a support ticket with our support team regarding this issue if it relates to the filtering options provided by OpenDNS; if the Netgear router is using the Netgear Live Parental Controls software then please include the MAC address of the router in the support ticket information:

    Alternatively, your parents should open a support request with Netgear support to have this issue resolved:

    Doesn't matter what you have, the account holder will have to open a support ticket. (Also, this isn't a router, but firmware/software that works with some of their routers.)

    Well my dad doesn't remember the username or password he used for the block. He added it over 6 months ago, and forgot it.

    What are you not getting here? Have your dad open a support ticket. Or have him reset the router and remove OpenDNS from configuration. Whatever. You will get precisely nowhere trying to change an account in the user forum. Especially as one who does not own the account.
