Currently i have ATT Uverse with a 2Wire 3800HGV-B Router/Modem. I would really like to be able to use OpenDNS on my wireless network in my home but i know that ATT needs to point to their own DNS for the tv and such.

I recently bought a new wireless router ( BELKIN PLAY N600 DualBand Wireless N) that i put behind the ATT modem.

I disabled the ATT wireless network manually, and plugged the BELKIN into that, got my BLEKIN wireless network up and running. But i still can't get OpenDNS to set up correctly.

Is this even possible? I found people online who said that it was, but i can't figure it out. I have a moderate level of networking knowledge (much more than average... but still a lot to learn). I would like to take the router back to the store and return it this weekend/early next week if i find that it is just not possible, because if that is the case its pointless to keep the router.

If it is possible. Can you tell me the settings/process to get OpenDNS to work on my BELKIN N600 Router? Thanks.

    Secondary Wireless Router: BELKIN N600

Did you get it working prior to configuring OpenDNS? If not, refer further to the documentation for both the gateway and the router. Make sure everything is working before trying to troubleshoot your OpenDNS configuration.

Which exact N600 is this? And where are you attempting to configure the addresses?

edit: So far, these are the only remotely useful bits I have found - whether they apply to your router is uncertain.

If you cannot change DNS setting with DHCP on, set WAN connection to static. There seems to be a DNS setting on the main list, however. (This is the only view I've seen for an N600 Play GUI.)

edit: On the 2Wire, make sure the DNS box is checked at (the IP address may vary, but I believe that is the default). Firewall >> Advanced
