I was trying to open a link from the hp.com website and the link has a very long url that will not resolve and I receive the following error:

You tried to visit h20139.www2.hp.com, which is not loading

    The url is as follows:

    http://h20139.www2.hp.com/SmbStore/MiddleFrame.asp?page=config&AirTimeFound=&ProductLineId=492&FamilyId=2544&ID=&BaseId=28343&SessionID={1A626CE5-9A7D-4096-ACC6-99653F8BD988}&BEId=4287912&dcpqsid={7ABC7588-4766-4BE2-88FD-71A7AECE16AB}&ActionUpdate=&BundleShopperId=&Promo_Item=True

Is there a limit to the size of the url that OpenDNS allows?

No. And DNS pays no attention to URLs. h20139.www2.hp.com is the Domain, and the only bit that the Domain Name System can process.

... and see at all. OpenDNS (and any other DNS service) never sees a URL. The DNS protocol doesn't contain one.

That said, go back to HP to report a bad link on their page...
